Farmers Markets Are WAY Cool!

One of the most enjoyable things I do is carouse farmer markets! The people you meet work hard at what they do and to me are the bastion of what America is all about! Being a farmer is the definition of  “Labor Of Love” as you must love it and it takes a lot of labor! To buy fresh “Homegrown” Veggies not only supports these local  entrepreneurs but saves untold resources by limiting transportation cost  and wasted resources. That tomato that got shipped from Mexico  not only taste like cardboard but used God only knows how much fuel to get here!  Talk about a win-win situation! We save the planet, get good food, employ local people and best of all we get to talk to the farmers! This is the ultimate Earthhippy experience! Hats off to all of you Farmers. You are truly one of the “Hidden Gems” of our society!
