We have determined that we have a right to be here. We have determined that we should live life to the fullest while we are here. We Should never feel guilty about what we have nor should we spend a lot of time worrying about what other people have. The fact of the matter is that if we did not buy stuff, the whole world economy would crash and many people would be out of work and suffer much more so than they are now! I think that the big problem is that what we accumulate is a lot of times junk and has no lasting value. In today’s economy I would put a lot more trust in what I have as a possession than I would put in paper money! Lasting products are just like gold and real estate. they will always hold value. Even if the “value ” is just the fact that when you are down and out you do not have to run out and buy the new coffee maker or drill or whatever. The moral of the story is that what we buy with our hard earned cash is an investment. Would you buy gold that disintegrated over time, or property that was being erroded away ? Of course not, that would be stupid. Yet every day we buy inferior products that have an incredibly short lifespan and we buy them over and over again. At the same time we worry about our carbon footprint and the overall mess we make of the ecology! The life-cycle of these products is one of the great shames of our time. For most of the things we buy the cost of production in both manpower and time is by far the least amount of environmental damage being done! It is the transport of the product both to the stores and then to the landfills that have the biggest impact on the ecology. As an avid earth hippy I TRY to buy the best products I can. products that have lasting value and do not require yearly or monthly replacement! That is somtimes easier said than done! I would love to say Buy USA but we have destroyed our manufacturing base to the point that it VERY difficult to find American made products for all of our needs. This has made it all the more important to watch what we buy as now we are shipping this stuff across the planet, some of it just to throw away! Be proud of what you have ! Buy what you need and always do your best to buy the best! This will have positive effect on both the ecology but also the economy of the modern environment!

OK ,I’m back.
In today’s society we have so many things to worry about like war, bills, our jobs, etc.. that sometimes It can be hard to get out of bed. Through modern technology we now live much longer than in the past and I am sure that even in the “Good old days” that people had a lot worry about. Watching half of your children die before the age of 1 could not be easy! We have to separate our lives and realize that what we have been given is precious. We have to enjoy What we can when we can. The world of today has change drastically in the past 15 years with the advent of the internet and the constant streaming of bad news (Thats what sells!) is a constant reminder of just how bad things appear to be. This is sad because there is so much good in our society and as stated before this is the time and place in which we were born. Just as the old saying goes “you can’t choose your parents” well you can’t choose when or where you were born! What we need to do is actually embrace what we have been given. We need to realize that there are wonderful things going on in the world that far outweigh the bad things we read and watch on the news. The sun comes up every day no matter how we feel and life will progress with or without us! I will use this site to encourage people to “Become one with the new nature” and find ways to better our one time experience here and to not just exist for their short time here but live at peace with oneself and the planet!

Here we go.
I am firm believer that we are what we eat .That we are a product of the environment and that we make are own happiness. We have been given one shot at this life and we need to make the best of it. If we are to survive in today’s world we need to assess both are talents and weaknesses. We all have our place on the planet and knowing what that is will help us succeed and thrive.Obviously Things are not going well in today’s economy and our way of life is about to change. One would hope that we can adapt (which is what humans do best) to the changing world. We cannot borrow our way out of our problems. We cannot forever rely on others to help us.We must find ways to utilize out talents and take care of ourselves.
As long as there are people on this planet there will be need.To find our niche we need to be able determine what our talents are. We used to be stuck on what we could do by our physical location. That does not hold true today. We can expand both our geographic and mental “ecosystem” because the world we live in today is unlike anytime in history. With all the bad things we have done in the last 100 years we have also done some pretty wonderful things. This is something that seems to be overlooked in the press and something that we all take pride in.One of the best things we have done is empower the world with the internet. This is what I would consider our “mental ecosystem” and is the most profound change mankind has ever gone through. To combine what we know on an individual level with the collective power of the web will help us thrive in today’s world. In this blog we will discuss how to use this power to better our lives and expand our niche on the planet!

I don’t know where to begin. Should we be talking about how to save the world?
Should we be talking about how to bury guns in our backyard for the coming apocalypse?
Should we be talking about how screwed up the world is?
Maybe all of the above.
This blog is really not about fixing the planet, this blog is about living on the planet that nature/God has given us. We cannot have our cake and eat it too.
If you want the planet to be the pristine, untouched paradise it was 1000 years ago then we would need to make the population you know, maybe 500,000,000 people. That is not going to happen shy of a natural catastrophe of biblical proportions.
So what can we do? Well to start we can on some level accept our lot in life and our time and place and history and maybe chill a little. Life is too short to spend all our time worrying about things we can do little or nothing about.
We are not going to stop global warming or world hunger or wars or disease by recycling plastic and composting our waste!
For every million people who try to make the planet better another 2 million are born who could care less about what they do to the planet.
What we need to do is live our lives as we see fit and live in our own Geo and political micro-environment to the best of our ability.
This means do the best you can with what you were given in this world. If living off the land will benefit you both spiritually and economically then by all means do it!
I have no plan for saving the world but I do have a plan for being happy and doing the best I can with what was given me.
We all need to chill a little, find our place in the world and do what is right for ourselves and the country we live in. I think we should think less globally and more locally. If we cannot make our own country strong the we can never help anyone on a global scale. If we do not have an infrastructure of industry and prosperity then we cannot develop any technology that will save the planet much less ourselves. Without a strong foundation we will crumble and with us the rest of the world!
So lets build the foundation by supporting us. Both ourselves and our country. Lets live happily and within our means and rather than worrying about our carbon footprint worry about the legacy we leave behind to our children.
